Temple Ambler Library

Did you know the Temple Ambler Library is open to the public! The library is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. The Library has a wide variety of books you can check out, including a large collection of juvenile literature. Recently renovated, this is a gem you’ll want to check out for sure!

As a community member, in order to check books out at the Temple Ambler Library, you will need to apply for a PA Resident Borrower’s Card. This can be done by bringing government-issued ID, such as a driver’s license, with you to the library to apply. Applications are processed on the spot.

Charles Library

Located at Temple University Main Campus, Charles Library is open to the public just like the Temple Ambler Library! Not only is Charles Library home to a diverse collection of books, but it is also home to Stella’s Café — the perfect place to grab a weekday snack or beverage. If you plan to visit, be sure to bring a government-issued ID along to enter and check out books out!

As a community member, in order to check books out at Charles Library you will need to apply for a PA Resident Borrower’s Card. This can be done by bringing government-issued ID, such as a driver’s license, with you to the library to apply at the One-Stop Assistance Desk. At Charles Library, applications take approximately two weeks to process. During this period, you may still explore the Library and read books on-site!

The Ambler Arboretum offers many opportunities not only to learn more about horticulture and the environment, but also to enjoy the great outdoors with fellow community members!

At the Ambler Arboretum, we offer field trips, programs for scout troops, summer camps, and other community events, such as Storytime. Visit our website or our Instagram page to learn more about upcoming community events!

Upper Dublin Public Library

Upper Dublin Public Library

The Upper Dublin Public Library, located in Fort Washington, is another wonderful community resource! The Upper Dublin Public Library not only has a vast literature collection for all, but it hosts a wide array of programs for both kids and adults alike.

They even have a seed library for those who are interested in growing an at-home garden of their own. Maybe once you’ve successfully cultivated your first plant, you can donate some of its seeds back to the Seed Library!
