Temple University Ambler provides unique educational experiences for our students, faculty and researchers. The campus is also here for our neighbors and the general public to enjoy. Meeting, Training and Recreation Spaces

Temple University Ambler features classrooms, computer labs, an auditorium, and other campus facilities and grounds. When not in use for classes and campus activities, many of the facilities and grounds are available to companies and organizations for educational meetings, training, and conferences for reasonable fees. Non-Credit Programs

The Office of Non-Credit and Continuing Education (ONCE) of Temple University is committed to providing quality, professional and accessible education, lifelong learning, and training opportunities to empower adult learners, businesses and organizations to achieve their professional performance and development goals and to provide valuable personal enrichment learning experiences. Osher Lifelong Learning Institute

The Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI) serves active adult learners, 50 years and older, who are able to take classes during the day. Each semester, we offer a variety of courses that promote the joy of learning without the pressure of traditional academic requirements such as tests or grades. Learn more.

 

Small Business Development Center

Temple University’s Small Business Development Center (SBDC), an outreach center of the Fox School of Business and Management, has been working to help fledgling businesses bridge the gap between concepts to customers since 1983. Learn more.

 

Summer Education Campus

Temple University Ambler is proud to offer in-person Summer Education Camps for youth entering 6th grade through 9th grade in the 2024-2025 academic school year. Our camps provide hands-on learning to for youth to learn about specific areas of interest, build new skills, increase confidence, and experience a college campus. Learn more.

 

Arboretum Volunteer Opportunities

The energy and creativity of volunteers provide essential support to our gardens and programs. We welcome volunteers with an interest in plants to help our Horticulture Staff maintain the Arboretum’s gardens. Learn more.

 

Temple University Bike Tour

You are invited to join us for the annual Temple University Bike Tour! Cyclists will travel a beautiful 22-mile route from Main Campus to Temple Ambler, touring the Greenway through Fairmount Park, Wissahickon Valley Park's Forbidden Drive and Fort Washington State Park. They will also enjoy a celebration at the Ambler Arboretum at the end of the ride. EarthFest

Earth Day isn't just a day, it's an idea. We need to make every day Earth Day!  The Earth faces enormous environmental challenges due to climate change, human action…and human inaction. You can be part of the change! We invite you to use the resources, information and activities we are sharing to think about what the world means to you and what you can do in your daily lives to become citizen scientists and promote sustainability! Corpse Flower Central

The giant corpse flower (Amorphophallus titanum) produces the world's largest unbranched inflorescence, or flower structure. It also does an excellent job of living up to its name. A flowering corpse flower is a truly rare event (though we’ve had four blooms out of the last three out of four years thanks to corpse flower whisperer Ben Snyder) considering that it takes seven to 10 years for the plant to bloom.
