Take your teambuilding to the next level by coming to campus for a day on the low ropes challenge course, a mindfulness session or tour or workshop by the Ambler Arboretum and other unique team and group activities. Then compete against your colleagues in a battle royale in the Gaming Center!
Low Ropes Challenge Course
Our state-of-the-art challenge course facility features 15 elements. The facility can be used to enhance experiential learning opportunities for teambuilding programs. In addition to the outdoor facility, the program has multiple “portable” elements and a highly trained staff that can deliver programs at any location indoors or out!
Wellness and Mindfulness Activities
We offer programs that connect participants with our calm, verdant surroundings in many novel ways that can help augment your retreat/teambuilding experiences. These activities focus on engaging in a nature-based experience through the senses and may include meditations, mindful observations and building a connection with the natural environment.
Yoga in the Gardens
Participants will be provided with materials and instructions on working through various beginner-friendly asanas (yoga postures) and pranayamas (breathing techniques). This program can aid in balancing physical functioning, decreasing stress and promoting overall well-being.
Labyrinth Self-Discovery & Reflection
This activity may be conducted independently or self-guided. This program seeks to connect guests to the purpose and benefits of a labyrinth and can aid in self-discovery, reducing stress, practicing self-reflection and calming the mind.
Recreation
Temple Ambler also has a host of traditional games and other activities available for use. We additionally offer access to an indoor gymnasium, outdoor pool, and recreation fields.
Tours of our Gardens
The Ambler Arboretum offers private Garden tours/discussions on topics of your choosing or one of the topics listed here. We also have self-guided tours that you are always welcome to come and experience at your own pace.
Family Gaming for All Occasions
Take your family game night to a whole other level!
Book your next birthday party, bar or bat mitzvah, or any other special occasion at the Temple University Ambler Esports and Gaming Center.
Outside food and drink are permitted. We will reserve an additional room, at no charge, for guests to enjoy their refreshments.
There is no food or drink permitted in the Gaming Center. For the best experience, parties and events in the gaming center should be limited to 24 participants.
Game On!
The Esports and Gaming Center includes:
- 12 Alienware gaming computers with 25-inch, high-definition monitors
- 12 specialized gaming chairs
- A gaming keyboard and mouse, mics and headsets for each gaming space
- Xbox Series X with four controllers
- PlayStation 5 with four controllers
- Nintendo Switch with four controllers
- Online and live gaming capability and access to a whole library of games through the systems’ streaming services.
- Access to a 300-seat auditorium for watch parties, workshops and more.
Ready Player One
To use the gaming computers, you will need to have or create a STEAM account. Creating a STEAM account is free. Games that Temple Ambler has on the Esports gaming computers include League of Legends, Counter Strike 2, Valorent, Fortnite, Rocket League, Roblox and Apex Legends.
The Nintendo Switch has the following games: Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, Super Mario Brothers, Super Smash Brothers, Super Mario Party.
For the Xbox and the PlayStation, we have a monthly subscription game pass for both consoles that adds and subtracts new games each month.
